Walking is the most natural way to get about, it's great exercise that helps to keep you fit.
Whilst walking may not be the fastest form of transport, considering all the other factors that make up a normal journey it may still be your quickest option for a local journey. We tend to overestimate the speed of a car journey, and underestimate how quickly we walk. Once you add in the time spent queuing in traffic and finding a parking space, walking is often the best choice for short trips.
